DESCRIPTION:The Children’s Network Early Childhood Mental Health Systems (ECMHS) team invites you a Quarterly Meeting\, featuring a special presentation by Dr. Kiti Freier Randall\, Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Psychologist. \nDr. Kiti will introduce her NAS Care Resource Toolkit\, a comprehensive support guide designed to help providers better serve infants and families affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and Neonatal Neurotoxic Effects (NNE). This presentation will equip San Bernardino County early childhood mental health professionals with practical tools and insights to strengthen care coordination\, family engagement\, and community response. \nNeonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and Neonatal Neurotoxic Effects (NNE) refer to withdrawal-like symptoms experienced by infants exposed to opioids or other substances in utero. DESCRIPTION:The Commission is hosting a virtual listening session for  parents and caregivers of individuals identified as part of the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) priority populations on Thursday\, July 23 at 12:00 p.m. \nThe BHSA values stakeholder input\, including from parents and caregivers of children and youth\, adults\, or older adults with a serious mental illness (SMI)\, serious emotional disturbance (SED)\, moderate/severe substance use disorder (SUD)\, or co-occurring conditions who are also experiencing or at risk of: \n\nChronic homelessness;\nInvolvement in the criminal or juvenile justice system;\nReentry from incarceration or youth correctional facilities;\nPlacement in or transition from the child welfare system;\nConservatorship;\nInstitutionalization.\n\nThis session is an important opportunity for parents and caregivers of individuals identified as part of the BHSA priority populations to share their experiences and help inform the Commission’s upcoming advocacy contract\, ensuring their voices are included and reflected in BHSA planning\, policy\, and decision-making. \n \nREGISTER HERE >>>
