SUMMARY:Treating Neurodivergent Clients in the Mental Health Setting
DESCRIPTION:This training centers equity and inclusion by supporting mental health providers in strengthening care for neurodivergent clients across clinical settings. Grounded in the social model of disability\, the session examines how systemic barriers and gaps in access impact neurodivergent individuals within the mental health system. Participants will engage in critical conversations around competency\, ethics\, and ableism; build skills to recognize neurodivergent traits in both diagnosed and undiagnosed clients; and develop practical\, adaptable strategies to support diverse therapeutic needs.
