About the Capacity Building Academy
The Capacity Building Academy (CBA) is a year-long training and education process that results in each member organization developing an Impact Plan that directly responds to the needs and priorities of their target audiences and local communities.
These academies, graduating from seven to ten agencies per year, have strengthened county nonprofit organizations by focusing on sustainability planning to support the development of strong, adaptive, sustainable organizations that serve the Inland Empire.
Program Details
Participants in the CBA will attend monthly impact planning workshops from October through July. Organizations are asked to assemble a team of 2 to 5 participants who will participate in the Academy.
Not all team members need to attend each session. Rather, you may want your board treasurer or bookkeeper/accountant to attend the sessions on strategic financing and have staff attend sessions on vision and desired results.
Program Outcomes
Graduates completing the Academy will complete a Impact Plan and make a presentation to a funders panel at the annual IECC Thrive Conference. Graduates of the Academy are eligible to participate as members of IECC.
Organizations interested in participating in the Capacity Building Academy must submit an application using the link below. Space is limited so please apply early. If you have any questions, please email Susan Gomez at susangomez@ieccnonprofit.org.
