ECMHS Quarterly Meeting: NAS Care Resource Toolkit
January 13 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Children’s Network Early Childhood Mental Health Systems (ECMHS) team invites you a Quarterly Meeting, featuring a special presentation by Dr. Kiti Freier Randall, Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Psychologist.
Dr. Kiti will introduce her NAS Care Resource Toolkit, a comprehensive support guide designed to help providers better serve infants and families affected by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and Neonatal Neurotoxic Effects (NNE). This presentation will equip San Bernardino County early childhood mental health professionals with practical tools and insights to strengthen care coordination, family engagement, and community response.
Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and Neonatal Neurotoxic Effects (NNE) refer to withdrawal-like symptoms experienced by infants exposed to opioids or other substances in utero. These signs can impact early development and make caregiving challenging; however, with supportive, regulation-focused care, we can ease infants’ discomfort now and help reduce long-term developmental and behavioral impacts.
Who Should Attend
All professionals who work with families, infants, toddlers, and young children (“littles”) are encouraged to attend this meeting and all ECMHS meetings and events. ECMHS gatherings support multidisciplinary partners across early childhood, mental health, healthcare, education, home visiting, family resource centers, and community-based programs.
