Supporting Nonprofits with Resources and Guidance Amid Federal Funding Uncertainty

Dear Nonprofit Community,
As a committed ally to the nonprofit sector, the Inland Empire Community Collaborative (IECC) stands unwavering in our support for all nonprofit organizations. We recognize the significant challenges that have arisen over the past week and understand the critical need for timely, accurate information.
Last week, the Trump administration issued a memo instructing federal agencies to pause federal funding assistance including those allocated to nonprofits, federal agencies, and the communities they serve. Although the administration later rescinded the memo, the executive action behind it remained in place, meaning funding restrictions could still be enforced. In response, The National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) and other advocacy groups took legal action to challenge the funding freeze in federal court. The NCN sued the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as the federal funding freeze threatened to halt grants and contracts essential to nonprofit organizations nationwide.
This week, a Washington, DC judge ruled in favor of the National Council of Nonprofits. The judge denied a motion by the Department of Justice to dismiss the case, placed an injunction on the OMB to prevent them from stopping federal spending, and instructed the OMB to release any paused funding. This is a significant victory for the NCN.
While there is much uncertainty in the sector, IECC remains dedicated to ensuring that nonprofits have access to the resources and guidance they need to navigate this uncertainty. We are actively working to gather and share information as swiftly as possible, so you can continue to focus on your invaluable work within our communities.
We are here for you, every step of the way.
Gracias,
