A Coming of Age

President
David McCoy, MACP

Chief Executive Officer of A Coming of Age Foster Family Agency

David McCoy is the President of the IECC and is the Chief Executive Officer of A Coming of Age Foster Family Agency where he has worked since its inception beginning on December 22, 2003. He currently has over 22 years of experience in social work, child welfare, and program development and training. He has worked in both large and small organizations including beginning his social work career working for Riverside County Department of Public Social Services as well as other smaller, private organizations that have maintained contracts with Riverside & San Bernardino Counties.

He has a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. He has been an active member of the IECC since graduating with CBA IV and has previously held the post of Vice President.

The Mom & Dad Project

Vice President
Megan Meadors, MBA

Program Director of the Mom and Dad Project

Megan is the Vice President of the IECC and the Executive Director of The Mom & Dad Project, a parenting education and resource center located in Big Bear Lake California. Megan has worked for the Mom & Dad Project since 2009, and prior to that has an extensive background in working in the child welfare system in Los Angeles.

Megan has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Business Administration. Her passion is prevention and early intervention and believes this is where the greatest impact can be made for children and families.

In her spare time Megan loves to be with family and friends. She has two children ages 18, and 15 and they love to travel, backpack, camp, explore and do anything outdoors.

Megan has been a member of the IECC since its inception in 2012 and was an inaugural member of the Capacity Building Academy in 2010 (CBA I).

Agape Christian Church

Dr. Douglas E. Perkins, ITIL, MCC, DCC

Pastor (Administrator) at Agape Community Christian Church (A.I.M)

Dr. Doug is a veteran of the U.S Army and has been an I.T. Professional in the private and public sector for 30+ years. His last assignment was as an I.T. Administrator at Inland Regional Center and then as Principal of DEP Enterprises, LLC (I.T. Consulting firm).

For 30 years, Dr. Doug has been a licensed and ordained Minister. Serving 25+ years as Pastor, Administrator, Counselor, Mentor, and Spiritual Care provider (Palliative Care Chaplain) at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Recently, the last 7 years, Dr. Doug has served (Faith-based and non-faith-based) nonprofit organizations as a Consultant, Coach and Facilitator in the Inland Empire. Recently, adding to his credentials the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) Facilitator certification.

Dr. Doug has been certified in various technology disciples, (Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL) and has master’s and Doctoral degrees in Christian Counseling from Liberty College.

Dr. Doug has occupied various Board positions within the Nonprofit and Faith-based communities. Currently, he is the Board Chair for SCDD (State Council Development Disabilities – RAC12) and Board Member for IECC and is a CBA V graduate.

Dr. Doug’s hobbies are spending time with his wife, reading, traveling, and golfing.

A Greater Hope

Mary Frame, M.Ed., NCC

Chief Human Resources Officer at A Greater Hope

Mary Frame Graduated with her master’s degree from the University of Texas-El Paso. She then worked in Texas and Hawaii serving vulnerable youth and families before coming to California in 2002 to work at The Village-Childhelp USA. She worked at Walden Family Services for 18 years before transitioning to her current role and the Chief Human Resources Officer for A Greater Hope. Her career is focused on helping make the vision of a better tomorrow a reality for many in her community. She currently serves as the IECC Treasurer and has been an IECC active member since graduating with the CBA III. She is active in her Church and her community, focusing on serving others.

Sahaba Initiative

Malek Bendelhoum

Executive Director of Sahaba Initiative

Malek is a nonprofit executive, keynote speaker, and community leader with over 15 years of nonprofit experience. Currently, Malek is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Sahaba Initiative, an award-winning nonprofit, and the co-chair of Riverside University Health Systems Behavioral Health committee serving the Middle Eastern North African (MENA) community.

Previously, Malek spent six years as the Executive Director of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, an Umbrella of 97 nonprofit organizations. In his role, he provided executive training and strategic direction for members and represented the over half a million Muslims in Southern California. In addition, Malek led dozens of state-wide community initiatives and fundraising campaigns including the acquisition of a multi-million-dollar community investment center. Additionally, Malek served on the board of the United States Council of Muslim Organizations–An umbrella organization of all National Muslim nonprofits in North America.

Malek holds degrees in Political Science and Forensic Psychology from the University of California Riverside, a certificate in Nonprofit executive leadership from Indiana University Lilly School of Philanthropy and is a proud graduate of IECC’s Capacity Building Academy (CBA X).

Autism Society Inland Empire

Clara Garcia

Director of Programs, Autism Society Inland Empire and Founder and Facilitator, CLASE Community Practice

Clara has been active in the social services field for the past 21 years, including mental health and drug treatment counseling and gang prevention/intervention programs. She has spent the last nine years serving those in the disability community by promoting inclusion, advocating, and educating. Clara has created and implemented inclusive programs for special needs children and their typical peers, which include a summer camp, play dates, and outings in the community. She co-created the CLASE Community of Practice for leaders serving the Hispanic IDD community in the Inland Empire in 2018 and serves as the facilitator.  This community of practice tackles issues of disparity for the community across multiple systems. She is the parent of five, including an adult and a teenager with Autism.

Clara graduated from the CBA VI and is an active member of IECC.
