Ways to Support Immigrant Justice
Immigrant communities across the Inland Empire continue to face uncertainty and fear. These are our neighbors, coworkers, and friends, and their safety and dignity are deeply tied to the health of our region.
Whether you are part of a nonprofit, a local agency, or simply someone who cares, here are three ways to take meaningful action:
Internally: Protect your community
- Distribute Red Cards to staff, volunteers, and community members. These cards help individuals assert their rights during encounters with immigration enforcement.
- Download Red Cards here: https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards
- Establish a Rapid Response Protocol within your organization. Know who to contact and what steps to take if someone is detained or targeted.
- Offer Know-Your-Rights Trainings or share resources that help your team and community members understand what to do in high-risk situations.
